Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Freddy Peralta has been on an entirely different level throughout the month of August. All together the right hander has tossed 28.0 innings over five August starts, he has allowed just one earned run (0.32 ERA), has struck out 34 batters, has a 0.82 WHIP, and has not allowed a run to score over his last 24 innings.
After throwing six scoreless innings against the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday night, Peralta became the first pitcher in franchise history to have at least four straight starts consist of five or more innings pitched and no earned runs allowed.
With his six shutout innings tonight in Toronto, Freddy Peralta is the first Brewers pitcher to ever have at least 4 straight starts of 5+ innings and no runs allowed.

With how well Peralta has performed, he has a strong case for winning pitcher of the month in August. In the National League, the next closest qualified pitcher to him in terms of ERA is Brady Singer, who has a 1.95 ERA in August.
Peralta has been nothing short of dominant in August, anchoring the Brewers’ rotation with elite-level performances. His pinpoint command, overpowering stuff, and ability to consistently miss bats have put him in a league of his own this month, proving he’s not just in top form, but pitching like one of the best in baseball right now.
