The Milwaukee Brewers, and the rest of Major League Baseball, lost a legend this past winter when Hall of Fame radio broadcaster Bob Uecker passed away. A native of Milwaukee himself, Uecker played for the Milwaukee Braves from 1962-1963 and was the voice of the Brewers from 1971 until 2024.
In addition to being an iconic baseball play-caller, Uecker was also a well-known spokesperson for numerous brands that were/are partners of the Brewers. Fans around the country know him from his old Miller Lite commercials (as well as his hilarious appearances on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson).
But while Miller Lite may be the brand most remember him for, fans in Milwaukee know him equally as well for his Usingers commercials.
And the company is turning to one of Uecker’s oldest friends, and another Brewers, legend, to take his place.
One of the other brands that Uecker was a spokesperson for was Usigners’, a sausage company based in Milwaukee. On Monday, it was reported that the company has reached an agreement with Robin Yount, the Hall of Fame player who spent his entire 20-year career with the Brewers, to be their next spokesperson:
“Robin Yount is taking over the commercial spokesperson duties at Usinger’s Sausage. Robin is a longtime friend of Mr. Baseball Bob Uecker. We are honored to have another member of the Baseball Hall of Fame pitching for us.” – @usingerssausage #Milwaukee #Brewers @Brewers pic.twitter.com/r6cjMY6uR4

As seen in the post above, Usingers released the following statement:
“Robin Yount is taking over the commercial spokesperson duties at Usinger’s Sausage. Robin is a longtime friend of Mr. Baseball Bob Uecker. We are honored to have another member of the Baseball Hall of Fame pitching for us.”
