The Milwaukee Brewers start a three-game series against the New York Mets tonight. The Brewers this month are 6-0, averaging 8.8 runs per game while allowing 3.5 runs per game. Ahead of tonight’s game, they made a flurry of roster moves, first placing right-handed pitcher Logan Henderson on the 15-day injured list retroactive to August 4th with right elbow inflammation. They also activated right-handed pitcher Shelby Miller from the 15-day injured list, along with recalling right-handed pitcher Tobias Myers from Triple-A Nashville. The Brewers also sent left-handed pitcher Robert Gasser on a rehab assignment at Triple-A Nashville.

Henderson, in five starts this season, is 3-0. He posted a 1.78 ERA, a 0.99 WHIP, and 33 strikeouts in 25.1 innings. Henderson made 16 appearances at Triple-A Nashville, 15 of which were starts. He went 10-4 with a 3.59 ERA, a 1.11 WHIP, and 87 strikeouts in 77.2 innings.
Miller was traded to the Brewers on July 31st. In one game at Triple-A Nashville, he went one shutout inning without allowing a base runner, striking out three. In 37 games with Arizona, he went 3-3. Miller posted a 1.98 ERA, a 0.96 WHIP, and 40 strikeouts in 36.1 innings.
Myers, in eight appearances this season with five of those coming as starts, went 1-1. He posted a 4.30 ERA, a 1.61 WHIP, and 19 strikeouts in 23 innings. In 12 games at Triple-A Nashville, he went 2-5 with a 3.77 ERA, a 1.31 WHIP, and 55 strikeouts in 59.2 innings.
Gasser, this season as he works his way back, has made four appearances with the Brewers’ rookie league team and High-A Wisconsin. He posts a 3.00 ERA, a 0.83 WHIP, and five strikeouts in six innings.
