It's a new week in home run props, and we're looking to kick things off right with a winner (or two, or three). Here are our three favorite HR bets for Monday's MLB slate.
Phillies vs. Reds, 6:40 p.m. ET
Trea Turner has been on an absolute tear over the last week, batting .500 with a 1.340 OPS, a home run and four doubles in that span. Now he gets to face off against Cincinnati Reds starter Hunter Greene, who's been good at limiting the long ball this year but did give up 19 home runs in 22 starts last season. In limited action against Greene, Turner is 5-9 with a home run.
Diamondbacks vs. Cardinals, 7:45 p.m. ET
Happy Lance Lynn Day to all who celebrate. For those unaware of the occasion, Lynn surrendered the most home runs in MLB last season, and he has the highest barrel rate and the fifth-highest fly ball rate among qualified pitchers this year. We'd like to fade him with a home run prop, and we're going to do it with Ketel Marte. Marte has been on fire over the last week with a .481 batting average, a 1.261 OPS and two home runs. He's also batting .333 with a home run and two doubles against Lynn in his career.
Padres vs. Rockies, 8:40 p.m. ET
Colorado Rockies starter Austin Gomber surrendered 16 home runs in his 15 starts at Coors Field last season. The left-hander also has the 14th-highest barrel rate among qualified pitchers this year, so he's a solid fade target in home run props. Let's roll with Eguy Rosario, who is batting .364 and slugging .864 with two home runs against left-handed pitching this season. Seven of his eight hits this year have been extra-base hits.
