MLB home run props for Sept. 12: Slump or no, Devers can hurt Yankees

Boom! We cashed Seiya Suzuki at +500 to go yard on Wednesday night. We thought we had another winner on Royce Lewis +350, but his grand slam was switched to a ground-rule double after a replay review. Boy, would that have been a great night? Let's keep it rolling with three more HR bets for Thursday's MLB slate.

Lane Thomas (+600 FanDuel)

Rays at Guardians, 7:15 p.m. ET

Thomas is absolutely on fire right now, especially against right-handed pitching. The Cleveland Guardians outfielder is batting .433 and slugging .800 with a 52.6 percent hard-hit rate and a 52.6 percent fly-ball rate against righties this month. Ryan Pepiot is a solid fade target because he throws his 4-seam fastball 51.6 percent of the time, and he's given up five home runs in his last four starts.

Rafael Devers (+450 DraftKings)

Red Sox at Yankees, 7:15 p.m. ET

Devers, unlike Thomas, is ice cold at the plate. The Boston Red Sox slugger is batting just .174 with only one extra-base hit in his last 12 games, but that's creating a juicy price on his home run prop in a friendly matchup. In 15 career at-bats against New York Yankees starter Nestor Cortes, Devers is slugging .733 with two home runs and a double. The short porch in right field at Yankee Stadium turns deep fly balls into cheap homers, so Devers just needs to pull one in the air.

Wyatt Langford (+800 FD)

Rangers at Mariners, 9:40 p.m. ET

This price is too high for how well Langford is swinging the bat. The Texas Rangers rookie is batting .394 and slugging .667 with a 46.2 percent hard-hit rate against right-handed pitching over the last two weeks, and this is a decent matchup against Bryce Miller. Miller throws his 4-seam fastball 42.6 percent of the time, while Langford is slugging .455 with a 60.5 percent hard-hit rate against 4-seamers this season.
