This MLB offseason has been awfully slow, but not for teams that made the right move. The Baltimore Orioles, Chicago Cubs, and Toronto Blue Jays have been active in building their roster. The New York Mets had a huge shake-up, and it’s still not over. Here’s the latest update from the league.
The Yankees and the Marlins pulled off a trade, and Ryan Weathers will go to the Bronx. The Marlins and Yankees agreed to an MLB deal that involves four hitting prospects. The Marlins will receive OF Dillon Lewis, OF Brendan Jones, IF Dillon Jason, and IF Juan Matheus.

While it’s not a great move for the Bronx Bombers, it’s certainly a safe bet. Weathers posted a 3.99 ERA with a 2-2 record. The pitcher has plenty of gas left in his tank and might shine in New York.
The Cardinals have finally parted ways with Nolan Arenado with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Arenado agreed to waive his no-trade clause, and the D’backs have won the MLB trade.

First to say the deal was close was @katiejwoo.
The D’backs will get $31 million to help with Nolan Arenado’s salary. The veteran slugger could play a vital role in helping the team reach the playoffs.
The Red Sox lost Alex Bregman, and they have a huge hole to fill. While they are trying to add pitching depth, it’s clear that they need a strong bat.

The latest MLB update suggests that the Red Sox are aggressively in pursuit of Bo Bichette. Bichette has the flexibility to play both shortstop and second base. That said, Boston could move a few players around and bring in Bichette as they are heading towards a challenging 2026 season.
