Jonathan Villar is holding down the fort at shortstop in Milwaukee quite nicely, but Arcia is still considered the team's shortstop of the future. He's hitting .291 with nine stolen bases in 56 games at Triple-A Colorado Springs and should get a shot in the second half.

Pittsburgh added John Jaso as a placeholder at first base this offseason while Bell gets ready at Triple-A Indianapolis. He's hitting .308-7-38 with a .397 on-base percentage. He's a Jaso injury away from a call-up.

The second overall pick in last year's draft, Bregman has been better than advertised. He's hitting .314-13-42 with 27/20 BB/K in 49 games at Double-A Corpus Christi. He's starting to get work at third base, which is his likely position for the Astros with Carlos Correa at shortstop. The Astros have an opening at the hot corner.

The best catching prospect in baseball, Contreras is very close to arriving. He's tearing up the Pacific Coast League, hitting .351-9-41 with a 1.041 OPS for Triple-A Iowa. He could be Chicago's starting catcher down the stretch.

Crawford is widely considered the best prospect in a deep farm system. He's struggled since being promoted to Triple-A, so the Phillies might wait until September to give him a look.

De Leon has returned after suffering minor injuries early this year and has 21 strikeouts in 11 innings at Triple-A Oklahoma City. The Dodgers' MLB rotation has struggled to stay healthy, so De Leon could be needed soon. He's been one of the most dominant pitchers in the minors since 2015.

Glasnow is the best prospect in an incredible Indianapolis rotation, now with a 1.90 ERA and 10.9 strikeouts per nine innings in 13 starts. The Pirates are taking their time as Glasnow works on his control.

Hader was just promoted to Triple-A after posting a 0.95 ERA and 11.5 strikeouts per nine innings in 11 starts at Double-A. One of baseball's most dominant prospects, he could get some innings with the Brewers over the last two months.

Acquired from Toronto last year for Troy Tulowitzki, Hoffman has a 3.49 ERA in 12 starts at hitter-friendly Triple-A Albuquerque. Always in need of pitching, the Rockies could call him up soon.

The Yankees aren't very close to contention, and Judge will get a look during the second half regardless of their position in the standings. The power prospect has nine homers in 60 games at Triple-A this season after hitting 20 homers between two levels last year.

Likely a back-of-the-rotation starter, Kuhl has really put himself on the radar with his dominance at Triple-A Indianapolis. He has a 2.15 ERA in 12 starts, with only 14 walks in 67 innings.

Lively was dominant at Double-A early this season, and his promotion to Triple-A has gone just as well. For the year, he's 10-0 with a 1.94 ERA in 13 starts.

Acquired in the offseason for Craig Kimbrel, Margot is almost certainly San Diego's leadoff hitter of the future. He's hitting .302 with 16 stolen bases at Triple-A El Paso.

Musgrove pounds the strike zone and has video game-like numbers between Double- and Triple-A this season. For the season, he has a 2.44 ERA and 55/7 K/BB in 55.1 innings. Houston will give him a long look if it falls out of contention.

Nimmo struggled to present the results scouts projected until this season. The former first-round pick is hitting .330-5-31 at hitter-friendly Triple-A Las Vegas and could provide an offensive boost for the Mets in the second half.

Oakland is almost certain to reload at the trade deadline, and Nunez is in the conversation as the third baseman of the future, along with fellow prospect Matt Chapman. Nunez is hitting .254-11-37 at Triple-A Nashville.

Philadelphia is in good hands in center field with Odubel Herrera, but Quinn provides another option. He's hitting .289 with 25 stolen bases at Double-A Reading and could be up during the second half with the weak outfield surrounding Herrera.

Reed is off to a slower start than the Astros hoped at Triple-A Fresno, but he remains one of the game's top first base prospects. After posting a 1.044 OPS last season, he's hitting .240-8-29 this year.

The Reds have needed to use some real restraint given how poorly their rotation has performed this year, as Reed dominates at Triple-A Louisville. He's 5-3 with a 3.38 ERA and nearly one strikeout per inning.

Renfroe's performance has improved this season with the help of hitter-friendly Triple-A El Paso, hitting .313-14-50. His plate discipline could be exposed at the highest level, but the Padres have space to find out what he has as they look toward the future late this season.

Suspended for marijuana use at the beginning of this season, Reyes has picked up where he left off last year. Through four starts at Triple-A Memphis, he has 30 strikeouts in only 16.2 innings. The Cardinals will find use for him soon.

One of the few top prospects Arizona didn't trade this offseason, Shipley is 5-3 with a 3.28 ERA at Triple-A Reno this season. The team has struggled to fill the back of its rotation due to injuries, opening up an opportunity for Shipley.
The Washington Post
Voth doesn't have great stuff, but he's impossible to overlook at Triple-A. The right-hander has a 2.90 ERA and nearly one strikeout per inning. He could get the next opportunity when Washington needs a spot starter.

Acquired from Texas last year for Cole Hamels, Williams has come on strong recently. He's hitting .282-7-31 in 55 games at Triple-A Lehigh Valley and presents a viable option for Philadelphia's poor outfield.

As Cincinnati looks to find a taker for Jay Bruce, Winker is waiting in the wings. The Reds are still waiting on his power to develop, but his approach is quite advanced already. Winker is hitting .286 with 33/32 BB/K at Triple-A Louisville this season.
