We went 3-0 to sweep the board in our last edition of strikeout props last Thursday, so we're looking to pick up right where we left off. Let's stay hot with our three favorite K props for Tuesday's MLB slate.
Giants at Orioles, 6:35 p.m. ET
Snell is one of the best strikeout artists in MLB. The San Francisco Giants left-hander ranks in the 98th percentile in whiff rate (37.1 percent) and the 96th percentile in strikeout rate (33.0 percent), and he's gone over this line in seven of his last nine starts. The only two times he didn't go over 7.5 Ks in that span he got pulled after 3.0 innings and 1.0 inning. Assuming he gets a full workload on Tuesday night, Snell should be able to hit this number against a Baltimore Orioles lineup that ranks 27th in strikeout rate (30.0 percent) and OPS (.477) against lefties over the last two weeks.
Blue Jays at Rangers, 8:05 p.m. ET
Eovaldi has gone over this line in three straight starts, but this is a much tougher matchup against the Toronto Blue Jays. The Blue Jays have the second-highest chase contact rate in MLB this season (61.0 percent) and the fifth-lowest strikeout rate against righties over the last two weeks (18.8 percent). In 60 combined plate appearances against Eovaldi, current Blue Jays hitters have just a 15.0 percent strikeout rate.
Astros at Padres, 9:40 p.m. ET
This is a low under to take on a nasty strikeout pitcher, but just hear us out. Although King has gone over this line in 15 of his last 16 starts, it won't be easy for him to keep that streak rolling in this matchup. The Houston Astros have a league-best 14.0 percent strikeout rate against righties over the last week, and they've struck out only 14.8 percent of the time in 27 combined plate appearances against King. The San Diego Padres righty can't generate the swings and misses he normally does against this lineup, so we like the juicy price on this one.
