New York Mets Right Fielder Juan Soto Reached Base a Whopping 6 Times In Blowout Win

After signing the most lucrative contract in league history during the offseason, New York Mets Right Fielder Juan Soto has struggled out of the gate. He may have turned a corner though with his performance Sunday on the road against the Colorado Rockies. He reached base a career-high six times in yesterday’s 13-5 drubbing.

He drew three walks and added three singles in Sunday’s contest. He is one of the best players in the league at finding a way on base. Sunday was a vintage performance from the perennial all-star. He is hitting .346 in June. Will he be able to continue his turnaround?

Soto has been one of the best players in the league since debuting with the Washington Nationals in 2018. His accolades are numerous. He is a five-time Silver Slugger, four-time MLB All-Star, batting champion, and World Series winner. He also has five top-10 MVP finishes.

Soto has been an on-base maven throughout his career. He is leading the league in walks this season and has led the league in this category three other times. He has also led the league in On-base percentage twice.

Final Thoughts

Soto and the New York Mets have a day off today before hosting the Washington Nationals for a three-game set. If he can keep up his recent form, he will again become one of the league’s most feared hitters.
