Nico Hoerner and the Chicago Cubs have been off to a strong start early in the 2026 MLB season. Chicago (18-12) is currently second in the National League Central, behind the red-hot Cincinnati Reds (19-10). The Cubs are coming off an 8-3 loss against the San Diego Padres, in which Hoerner went 1-for-5 with two RBIs.

Hoerner is a versatile infielder who plays both second base and shortstop and has been the primary leadoff hitter for Chicago this season. The Head-Royce High School graduate has justified his position in the lineup with his play, leading the Cubs in batting average (.293), RBIs (26), on-base percentage (.369) and hits (36).

This strong play from Hoerner has already started to pay dividends, as, on Wednesday, the sports memorabilia and collectibles company CardVault by Tom Brady announced a collaboration with the Cubs star. CardVault was acquired by Brady in 2025 and has since expanded operations throughout the United States.

In an Instagram post, CardVault posted a graphic showing Hoerner in a clear blue jersey, along with information on when he will appear at the Chicago store location. Included are the address (1027 W. Addison St.), the day (Friday), date (June 19) and time (6 p.m.). Also posted is the website where fans can buy tickets to the event.

"⚾️ CHICAGO ⚾️ Chicago Cubs second baseman @nico_hoerner is coming to CVTB‼️," CardVault wrote in the caption. "Get your ticket via the in bio. See you there!"

After Chicago ends its series with the Padres, it will begin May with a three-game homestand against Cincinnati.
