Alex Anthopoulos has caught plenty of flak for his lack of moves this past offseason, resulting in a very flawed roster, but it followed arguably the greatest move of his career — trading Vaughn Grissom to the Red Sox for Chris Sale.
The reigning Cy Young is coming off yet another impressive outing. This time, Sale went 8.2 innings of no-run ball against the Mets. His ERA is now down to 2.52 on the season, following a campaign last year in which he won the National League Triple Crown en route to his first-ever Cy Young.
He’s right back into that Cy Young form. There hasn’t been a better pitcher in the league since the end of April. Sale owns a minuscule 1.23 ERA over his last 10 starts, and all the Braves had to give up for him was Vaughn Grissom.
While Atlanta fans are as happy as can be, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows in Boston. Years ago, the Red Sox shipped Mookie Betts off to the Dodgers. Most recently, they salary dumped Rafael Devers to the Giants. It’s been hard for Red Sox fans, who have all voiced their displeasure with Craig Breslow.
Traded him for a guy with a .700 ops in AAA and that’s somehow not even Craig’s worst move pic.twitter.com/eRyu1Fkgzt https://t.co/TtXDKoP0is

Craig Breslow and Chaim Bloom have done more damage to the Boston Red Sox than any Yankee has in the last 75 years pic.twitter.com/f5F0h1CZK2

Craig Breslow’s Tenure as GM:
-Trades Rafael Devers for scraps
-Trades Chris Sale for a triple a second baseman
-DFA’d Bobby DalbecWhat has this guy done to help the Red Sox?

However, they are not alone. New York Mets fans aren’t happy Breslow allowed the Braves to get away with one of the greatest heists in recent MLB history.
I really hate Craig Breslow I think https://t.co/tnE4nuQnSL

Braves fans complain a lot about Alex Anthopoulos and Brian Snitker, and they deserve some criticism, but the grass ain’t always greener. Both have done much more good than bad in their tenures.
The best dose of that reality is taking a look through Red Sox Twitter or Facebook after a Chris Sale outing.
