The Baltimore Orioles have struggled to continue the success the team saw in 2024 when they finished as a Wild Card team in the American League with a 91-71 record.
This season, the Orioles are currently sitting in last place in the AL East division and are 11 games behind the New York Yankees with a record of 31-41.
Baltimore's pitching rotation has struggled in 2025, ranking among the bottom five in the majors in ERA and WHIP, while allowing the second-most home runs this season.
Interim manager Tony Mansolino will look to find an answer to their struggling pitching rotation after making a call down to Triple-A Norfolk.
Former All-Star starting pitcher Trevor Rogers is set to take the mound on Wednesday afternoon to go up against the Tampa Bay Rays for his second start in the majors this season.
Trevor Rogers will likely take the mound tonight again for the O's in Game 3 against the Rays.

The 27-year-old lefty has struggled to make a name for himself since his All-Star season in 2021, when he finished with a 7-8 record, 2.64 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and struck out 157 batters in 133 innings with the Miami Marlins. He finished the runner-up for NL Rookie of the Year.
Rogers was traded to the Orioles in the middle of the season in 2024 and has struggled since coming to Baltimore.
In 2024, Rogers finished with a 7.11 ERA, 1.58 WHIP, and struck out 12 batters in four starts for the Orioles.
He's spent a majority of the 2025 season in the minor leagues, where he's made seven starts, finishing with a 5.46 ERA, 1.55 WHIP, and striking out 26 batters in 29.2 innings.
On May 24, Rogers made his only major league start this season, going 6.1 innings, allowing just two hits, zero runs, and struck out five batters for Baltimore in their 2-1 win against the Boston Red Sox.
He'll look to carry his major league momentum into Wednesday's game as the Orioles face the Tampa Bay Rays in the third game of their four-game series.
