The Milwaukee Brewers are having an impressive season and are about to kick off a three-game series with the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday. The Brewers are currently 30-20 and in first place in the National League Central Division. Meanwhile, their opponent on Monday, the St. Louis Cardinals, is currently 29-22 in second place and 1.5 games behind them.

Jacob Misiorowski and Kyle Harrison are set to start the first two games of the series for Milwaukee. Misiorowski and Harrison, who are widely regarded as two of the team’s best pitchers, each have ERAs under 2.00 and have been praised for their dominance.

However, the team has fresh injury concerns after Logan Henderson sustained back tightness during his last start. The 24-year-old last pitched on Friday against the Los Angeles Dodgers. It was the only game in that series that the Brewers won, and he went five shutout innings while striking out seven.

Henderson revealed after the game that he was experiencing back tightness during his start but said he didn’t believe it was anything serious.Milwaukee’s starter for Wednesday is currently undecided. According to Fox Sports 920 reporter Hunter Baumgardt, manager Pat Murphy has expressed concern over Henderson’s condition.

The American went five innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers last week, throwing five shutout innings. Henderson, who was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the fourth round of the 2021 Major League Baseball Draft, has had injury issues before in his young career.

Henderson was out early in his pro career with arm injuries, including a fracture in his right elbow which needed surgery to install pins. He returned to pitch 78 2/3 innings in 2023 and 81 1/3 innings in 2024 before logging a career-high 103 innings in 2025.

He was then placed on the 15-day injured list on August 10, 2025, due to inflammation in his right elbow before being moved to the 60-day injured list 17 days later. Yet, he has still pitched well when available.

Henderson has been a solid pitcher throughout the first few years of his career. He made his MLB debut for Milwaukee on April 20, 2025, earning the win after tossing six innings against the Athletics, striking out nine and allowing one run.

He is currently 2-1 with a 2.74 ERA over five starts this season. Coleman Crow, who has been called up for two previous spot starts, is one of the options available to Milwaukee if he is unable to pitch. However, that decision could depend on Crow’s own throwing schedule.
