Phillies Lineup Ranked Fourth Best in MLB
Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Phillies had a strong regular season in 2024, finishing with a 95-67 record and winning a competitive NL East that fielded three playoff teams. They were quickly bounced from the postseason in the NLDS; however, as their bats went silent, averaging just 3.0 runs per game.

Despite their struggles in the postseason, the Phillies' offense remains a strength of the club heading into 2025. Anthony Castrovince of MLB.com recently predicted what the unit will look like while ranking them the fourth best offense in the league, writing:

1. Trea Turner, SS 2. Bryce Harper, 1B 3. Alec Bohm, 3B 4. Kyle Schwarber, DH 5. Nick Castellanos, RF 6. Bryson Stott, 2B 7. J.T. Realmuto, C 8. Max Kepler, LF 9. Brandon Marsh, CF, per Anthony Castrovince of MLB.com

Castrovince noted that the Phillies lineup could struggle to stay healthy as Harper, Turner, Schwarber, and Realmuto are on the wrong side of 30. He further added that there is not much untapped potential while noting that the addition of Kepler could be underrated.

Philadelphia was a top-ten unit in every major offensive statistic in 2024 and has brought back every key member of their lineup. Furthermore, they figure to have one of the best starting rotations in the league from top to bottom.

While the NL East figures to be competitive once again, the Phillies have the fourth-best odds to win the World Series. They will need their offense to show better production in the postseason to capture their third title in franchise history - and first since 2008.
