Phillies Predicted to Call Up Young Prospect That Could Impact Brandon Marsh

The Philadelphia Phillies have started to call up some prospects in recent weeks. Whether it be Aidan Miller, Andrew Painter, or someone else, the Phillies have some other decisions they could look to make in the next year and a half.

However, there's a promising prospect continuing to tear the cover off the ball in Triple-A.

The Phillies might not be able to ignore it any longer.

That's why Forbes’ Anthony Stitt predicted that the team would call up Justin Crawford, an outfielder out of Arizona.

Crawford has been excellent during his minor league career, and that excellence has continued in 2025 in Lehigh Valley. He's hitting .338 with 11 doubles, 24 walks, and a ridiculous 20 stolen bases in 49 games.

“So who will be the next Phillies prospect to get the call? How about Justin Crawford?

“The 21-year-old kid is peaking right now. In his last 21 games, Crawford is hitting .363 with 11 stolen bases. And overall against the advanced pitching at Triple-A this season, he boasts a .338 average with 20 swiped bags while playing supreme defense in the outfield,” he wrote.

The only downside to Crawford is his age.

At 21 years old, making his big league debut would see him be far younger than some other prospects who have come up in recent years. However, it shouldn't be a significant factor here.

He's ready to play.

Ultimately, the Phillies will have to decide whether they want to bring up another youngster and hope they play the way they need them to.

While some of their other players on the big league roster haven't been great recently, many of them at least have some experience on their side.
