Kyle Schwarber has had an incredible career in Major League Baseball thus far. In 11 years with four organizations, Schwarber has hit .231 with an .846 OPS, 340 home runs and 784 RBIs. He has played in three All-Star games and won a Silver Slugger award in his career.

He is coming off one of the best seasons of his career with the Philadelphia Phillies in 2025. He had an incredible .928 OPS to go along with a National League best 56 home runs and a major-league leading 132 RBIs.

The 32-year-old's four-year, $79 million contract ended after this past season, making him a free agent this winter.

Schwarber has played with the Phillies the past four seasons, totaling 187 long balls and 434 RBIs during his tenure. Now that the designated hitter is a free agent, many teams around the league are vying for his signature.

Despite this, there is reported interest from the Phillies to re-sign him, and Philadelphia has the money to make a reunion possible.

"Schwarber is not only one of the game’s most dangerous sluggers, but he’s the heart and soul of the Phillies -- one of the best leaders Philadelphia’s clubhouse has ever seen," MLB.com reporter Todd Zolecki said. "He’s also a valued member of the community, regularly hosting charity events in the Delaware Valley."

Schwarber has endeared himself to the community in Philadelphia since joining the team, as his play on the field is not the only thing that fans have loved. His "Schwarber’s Neighborhood Heroes" organization helps provide opportunities for first responders and their families in Philadelphia.

"Simply put, Schwarber has been a tremendous fit in Philly, and he would love to finish business by bringing the franchise and city a World Series championship," Zolecki continued. "The Phillies know all these things, of course, and they’ve made it clear they want him back. They have the financial wherewithal to make it happen, too."

While he will undoubtedly draw a major contract this winter, Schwarber returning to the Phillies is definitely possible.
