The Texas Rangers activated first baseman Jake Burger from the 10-day injured list Friday.

Burger has missed 20 games since being placed on the injury list on July 13 with a left quadriceps injury he sustained two days earlier while running out a grounder during the top of the fifth inning in a 7-3 win over the Houston Astros.

Burger, 29, is batting .228 with 11 homers and 35 RBIs in 75 games this season.

In a corresponding move, the Rangers optioned outfielder Alejandro Osuna to Triple-A Round Rock.

The Rangers' Minor League Player of the Year in 2024, Osuna has had two stints with the Rangers this season (May 25-July 20, Aug. 2-6), batting .158 with one home run, one double, 5 RBI and 13 walks in 34 games.
