Only four teams came out of Opening Weekend with perfect records. Among them are the reigning champions in the Los Angeles Dodgers, who have the unquestioned best roster in the league.
The Dodgers have stars at each position, but that doesn’t mean that they won't be missed if they are out. There are some early injury concerns with first baseman and World Series MVP Freddie Freeman.
Freddie Freeman had a “mishap” entering the shower at home and tweaked the same surgically-repaired right ankle, Dave Roberts said. Won’t be available tonight and is day to day. https://t.co/X6BSRn6Pte

The Athletic's Fabian Ardaya updated the latest situation around Freeman re-injuring his right ankle, which was surgically repaired after the World Series. Dodgers general manager Dave Roberts said that Freeman encountered a 'mishap' entering his shower at home and tweaked his ankle.
Roberts said that he would miss the first game of a three-game home series against the Atlanta Braves on March 31.
Time will tell how serious the ankle injury will be for Freeman and how many games he will miss. This likely leaves Enrique Hernandez as the starting baseman in place of Freeman.
In three games and 12 at-bats this season, Freeman accounted for two home runs, three hits, four RBIs, 10 total bases, no strikeouts, a batting average of .250, an on-base percentage of .250, and a slugging percentage of .833.
Many fans of the Dodgers came onto Ardaya's post with reactions that were sad, angry, depressing or funny.
One reaction that comes into the conversation is a black and white photo of one of the Pikachu that stood behind the Dodgers players during the 2025 Tokyo Series on Mar. 17. The caption invokes a depressing but funny caption.
What in the world?

Another fan suggested that Freeman should have his bathroom renovated with the inclusion of a walk-in bath. One suggests that Freeman is getting older because younger players do not appear to suffer this kind of injury.

This is how you know he’s getting old. Youngins don’t get “getting in the shower” injuries

One fan took a shot at Los Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon, who has been viewed as a player who doesn't care about the sport of baseball or encounters careless injuries to ensure he sits out of playing.
