The youth movement is alive and well for many of the powers in both the American and National League. The Brewers’ top prospect had a fantastic Week 2 in Double-A Biloxi, while Dodgers prospects Josue De Paula & Zyhir Hope did well over the last week in Double-A, themselves. But that’s not all, as you’ll see in our Week 2 recap.
Mariners pitcher Kade Anderson is already looking like a polished pro pitcher.
Seattle’s top pick from 2025 struck out 11 over five scoreless innings over the past week, which raised his season total to 17. That’s good for third-most in the Texas League over the early goings of the year.
It wasn’t just Anderson who had a magnificent week down in the Double-A circuit. Hitters in the Texas League feasted, as well.
Tommy White led the league with 12 hits, while Josue De Paula and Leo De Vries came close with 10. Zyhir Hope had two home runs and nine RBI for the Drillers.
Royals outfielder prospect Carson Roccaforte had three home runs for Northwest Arkansas.
Brewers infielder Jesús Made keeps on ticking in Double-A.
Made led the Southern League in hits over the last week with eight, part of a stretch that saw the Biloxi Shucker pick up three extra-base hits and two stolen bases. In the year, Made leads the circuit in total hits (14) and is batting .359.
