Ronald Acuna Jr.’s injury update will catch fans’ attention

The Atlanta Braves are playing the best baseball in the league right now, and they’re doing it without one of their best players. Ronald Acuña Jr. is dealing with a left hamstring injury and is on the 10-day injured list, and he is still progressing with agility and running training.

As far as Acuna himself, he seems to be handling the injury well, and he’s keeping his spirits high.

“I feel good. Doing all the things the trainers are telling me to do so I can get back to the field as soon as possible,” Acuna said via Jesús Cano of The Athletic.

That’s good news for the Braves, and the hope is that Acuna can return sooner rather than later. So far this season, Acuna recorded 32 hits, two home runs, and nine RBIs, giving him a .252 batting average and .362 OBP.

There was optimism that Acuna would return in their game on Wednesday, but it looks like they’re taking things slow with him. The Braves have been playing well, so they don’t need to rush him back, and they continue to rely on the players who have been leading them through a great season.

One player who has stepped up for the Braves has been Mike Yastrzemski, and he believes there is one reason why the team has played well.

“There’s no egos here,” said Yastrzemski. “Nobody feels like they own any piece of this team. We’re all pulling on the same rope together, the same direction. Whatever opportunities come for you that day, that’s good enough.”
