Roster moves for Arizona Diamondbacks brings answers for 2025 season

The Arizona Diamondbacks have to get down to a 26 man roster, and these are the tough decisions. Jordan Lawlar is one of the highest ranked prospects as he sat as the number two shortstop prospect. Then followed by his thirteenth overall prospect ranking, the Diamondbacks know his worth.

With the infield being anchored by Ketel Marte and Geraldo Perdomo at shortstop and second base, time will only tell  where Jordan Lawlar fits into all of this. Lawlar, somebody who was hit by the injury bug in 2024, played in only 23 games. Although in his 85 at-bats, he hit .318.

Drey Day was right there for us. Sure, we all wanted to, “rock chrome to the sides of our D’Backs hats.” Jameson, who throws more heat than the California hip hop scene, is ready for a bigger stage. Although that will have to wait a little longer. After a hard 2024 season, Jameson also missed the entirety due to Tommy John surgery. He was outstanding this spring training, in 5.2 innings he has four strikeouts and only one earned run. The Arizona Diamondbacks are being cautious. With a guy who is that talented, but coming off of an injury like that.. it’s understandable why he was optioned.

When your roster is great, you know that you have a good farm system. The Dbacks have strived for obtaining that over the years. General Manager Mike Hazen has definitely shown he is more than capable of doing so.
