Seattle Mariners Catcher Cal Raleigh has continued to turn heads during the regular season. He has made history this year as the only catcher in league history to record at least 9 home runs and multiple stolen bases in three consecutive calendar months. No other catcher has ever accomplished this in three different calendar months over their entire MLB career. Seattle’s catcher has done it in three straight months. He has been great this season. He is leading the league in home runs and is second in RBI and OPS. Will the star catcher continue swinging the bat this well as the summer marches on?

Raleigh signed a six-year $105 million contract extension in March. With the way he has played in 2025, that deal has been a massive bargain. The catcher is coming off a strong 2024 campaign. He finished 12th in AL MVP voting. He also won a Gold Glove and a Platinum Glove. He has upped the ante in 2025. He has the second-best MVP odds (+600) behind New York Yankees star Aaron Judge.
Raleigh and the Seattle Mariners return to the diamond this evening to begin a four-game set on the road against the Minnesota Twins. If the catcher can continue playing this well, Seattle will continue winning games and Raleigh will have a season for the ages.
