Seattle makes another move regarding its rotation, placing Bryce Miller on the 15-day injured list. He has only made two starts since his last stint on the IL and has been shaky in those starts. In a corresponding move, they  call up Logan Evans from Triple-A Tacoma.

As mentioned previously, Miller only made two starts in between his last IL stint, which sidelined him for most of May. In those two starts, He was ticked for eight runs on 11 hits and a pair of walks with only four strikeouts in nine innings. Since coming off IL , Miller has surrendered 19 runs over his past 18 frames.

There is no confirmed timetable for his return to the mound, but it is speculated that this may be an extended IL stint due to his unresponsiveness to previous treatment in his May stint.

Regarding Evans, this will be his second stint for the Seattle and was considered among the top 10 prospects in a stacked Mariners farm system. He received his first call to the big leagues on April 27 against the Miami Marlins, tossing five innings, struck out three, walked three and allowed two earned runs on two hits.

In the 2025 season, Evans has amassed a 3-1 record, with a 2.83 ERA through 35 innings pitched and a 1.36 WHIP.
