For the second time in as many seasons, Detroit Tigers ace Tarik Skubal is the American League Cy Young Award winner.
The Tigers jumped out to the hottest start in baseball, but even with their historic collapse to surrender the American League Central title to the Cleveland Guardians, Skubal’s dominance was consistent. He finished with an A.L.-best 2.21 ERA, while striking out 241 batters 33 walks in 195 ⅓ innings. He also finished with the best WHIP (walks and hits per innings pitched) in MLB at 0.891.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Skubal is the first back-to-back Cy Young-winner in the American League since 1999 and 2000. With that being said, can you name every pitcher to win the American League Cy Young award?
Good luck!
