The Chicago Cubs offense was stymied by San Diego Padres starting pitcher Nick Pivetta through the first four innings of Game 1 of their Wild Card series at Wrigley Field.
But Seiya Suzuki led off the bottom of the fifth to tie the score at 1 with a solo home run and was immediately followed by Carson Kelly going deep to give the Cubs a 2-1 lead they wouldn’t relinquish in front of the Wrigley Field faithful.
Suzuki delivering is a great sign for Cubs fans, as the right fielder saw his batting average dip from .263 before the All-Star break to .213 after the break and just seven home runs compared to 25.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Despite his struggles after the Midsummer Classic, Suzuki became the first Cub since Javier Baez in 2018 to reach the 100-RBI milestone. With that being said, how many of the most recent players to reach 100 RBIs in one season for each MLB team can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
