When the Milwaukee Brewers clinched a spot in their first World Series since 1982 by sweeping the Los Angeles Dodgers, manager Pat Murphy had some choice words to describe the difference between his club and the Dodgers’.
“They may have a bunch of Hall of Famers. But we have a bunch of gamers,” he said as the team celebrated on the Dodgers home field.
Now, with the bubbly flowing once again, he’s been proven right.
After finishing the season with the best record in Major League Baseball, Murphy’s Brew Crew lost just two games in October, finishing 11-2 to deliver Milwaukee their first-ever World Series title.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. With the Brewers finally lifting their first Commissioner’s Trophy, just four teams remain without a championship, including their opponent the Tampa Bay Rays. With that being said, how many of the most recent managers to win a World Series for each MLB franchise can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
