The 'MLB wins leaders since 2000' quiz

The New York Yankees did everything right in their Wild Card series against the Boston Red Sox, using situational defense and clean defense to supplement the home run in the 2-0 sweep.

They’ve done none of those things against the Tampa Bay Rays in the ALDS, and as a result find themselves on the brink of elimination heading into Game 3 at Yankee Stadium. New York’s two runs have come on solo-shots from Ben Rice and they’ve recorded nearly as many errors (four) as hits (5) across the two contests.

With their season on the line, the Yankees are turning to expectant-father Max Fried despite his girlfriend expected to give birth any day. Fried, who made 20 starts to the tune of a 2.80 ERA around two elbow issues this season, said he’s taking the mound regardless.

“I’ve got a really supportive family that understands that this is my job, and it’s not going to affect what happens,” Fried said.

The 10-year veteran already has one postseason start under his belt in 2026, a one-run, three-hit effort over the course of six innings in the series-clinching Game 2 win over Boston. With

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Fried is just one season removed from leading all of baseball in wins, posting a career-high 19 in 2025. With that being said, can you name the MLB wins leaders for each season since 2000?

Good luck!
