Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry has spent the decade as one of the most productive (and utilized) running backs in NFL history, excelling with a combination of bruising power and breakaway speed.
But as he enters his age-32 season at a position not exactly famous for its longevity, the five-time Pro Bowler and 2020 Offensive Player of the Year said retirement hasn’t crossed his mind.
“I don’t try to enter another season thinking about retiring,” he said after training camp on Thursday.
“That’s not my mindset. My mindset is : How can I get better, be the best I can be so we can be the best team we can be? I haven’t thought about retirement at all.”
Henry eclipsed 1,500 rushing yards for the fifth time in his career last season with the Ravens while rushing for 16 touchdowns for the second time in two seasons with Baltimore. He already holds first place in every major rushing category for active players, racking up 13,018 and 122 TDs on 2,662 carries.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Henry has finished as the NFL rushing champion twice in his 10-year career. With that being said, can you name the players with the most rushing yards for each season since the AFL/NFL merger in 1970?
Good luck!
