Happy 80th birthday to 14-time MLB All-Star, five-time World Series champion, two-time World Series MVP and 1973 American League MVP, Reggie Jackson!
“Mr. October,” made his MLB debut with the then Kansas City Athletics in 1967, and would go on to play 21 seasons for four different organizations. He spent the first nine and final years as a pro with the Athletics, leading the American League in home runs twice and RBIs once in his time with Kansas City/Oakland. He was part of the juggernaut Athletics dynasty that won three World Series titles in a row from 1972-74.
He added two more titles in his five-consecutive All-Star seasons with the New York Yankees, hitting a career-high 41 dingers in 1980.
After leaving the Bronx for California and five seasons with the Angels from 1982-86, he hung up his cleats following a final season with the A’s in 1987.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Jackson retired with 563 home runs, 1,702 RBIs and is one of just four players in baseball history to win multiple World Series MVPs. With that being said, can you name every World Series MVP?
Good luck!
