The 'Yearly MLB on-base percentage leaders' quiz

Despite the New York Mets being swept by the Tampa Bay Rays and losing the series opener to the free-falling Braves, fans should be encouraged by one thing: Juan Soto is starting to look like Juan Soto.

After a sluggish start to the season for the $765-million, Soto is hitting .351 with six home runs, 12 RBI and 19 walks in 17 games between May 30 and June 17. Francisco Lindor – a player who has experience with joining the Mets with the expectations that come with a massive contract – praised Soto’s ability to stay even keel despite his struggles and the noise surrounding them.

“Credit to him, he still looks like the same person. He didn’t ride the wave of being bad or being good. He stayed the course,” Lindor said

“For such a young player with a lot on his plate, I thought he handled himself well.”

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Soto has gained a reputation as a complete hitter – someone who can just as easily mash a home run as he can smack a single or work a walk. With that being said, can you name the MLB players to lead the league in on-base percentage since 2000?

Good luck!
