Time Revealed For Astros' Home Opener
Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

It's going to be an action packed start to the 2024 season for the Houston Astros based on their schedule.

ESPN decided to have the Astros and Texas Rangers be featured on their Sunday Night Baseball broadcast early in the season to have a rematch of the 2023 American League Championship Series.

But, Houston will have a massive series to look forward to when their regular season begins on March 28.

They'll welcome in the New York Yankees for a four-game slate at Minute Maid Park to kick off their season.

Even though it's been years removed from the cheating scandal that jumpstarted this rivalry, there should still be some tension between the two sides, despite the Astros continuing to dominate the Yankees during the playoffs.

The start time has been revealed for this game as well.

Chandler Rome of The Athletic reported it will be a 3:10 CT first pitch to get the upcoming season underway.

After missing the playoffs last year, New York has been attempting to upgrade their roster. They pulled off a blockbuster trade to land superstar outfielder, Juan Soto, from the San Diego Padres.

They're hoping this, plus some addition moves, can turn them back into contenders.

It's well documented that Houston has had a quiet offseason, but they still have a team ready to compete for a World Series championship.

Joe Espada will be tasked with getting the Astros back into the Fall Classic.

There's no better way for Houston start the season than welcoming the Yankees in and winning their first series of 2024.
