The MLB spring training is in full swing as every player is fighting for a spot on the team’s 2026 roster. While several veterans have departed for the World Baseball Classic, many players have their focus on their league. The regular season is just around the corner, and teams are still trying to make moves.
That said, there are several players who have been performing well in spring training. Here are some of the best players on MLB’s list.
The Pittsburgh Pirates’ No. 1 overall prospect has been incredible with his performance. The slugger cleared the imitation Green Monster at the Red Sox’s JetBlue Park. While the Pirates might not put him in the MLB for now, it’s clear that Konnor Griffin has shown tremendous power in spring training.
The Kansas City Royals are building a future MVP. Jac Caglianone has played some great ball this spring training, and his future is certainly looking bright. Caglianone crushed the 120-mph mark with his outstanding power.

Only seven hitters in the MLB have reached that limit. Giancarlo Stanton, Oneil Cruz, Aaron Judge, Shohei Ohtani, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Ronald Acuna Jr., and Gary Sánchez. Jac Caglianone has done it in spring training, and things could never be better for the rising star.
The New York Yankees could have one of the most dangerous starting rotations as they enter the 2026 MLB season. Gerrit Cole is set to return, along with Carlos Rodon. Cam Schlittler proved he belongs in the majors, and now Carlos Lagrange is creating waves.

Lagrange’s average fastball velocity is closing in on 100 mph. The 22-year-old reached 102 mph recently, and he’s already showing signs of a big leaguer. The Yankees could use some help, as he could be the next top hurler on the team.
