Twins right fielder Max Kepler exited after the first inning of Thursday's series finale against the Tampa Bay Rays at Target Field in Minneapolis.

With two outs and Royce Lewis at first base, Kepler bunted and sprinted down the first-base line and unsuccessfully attempted to slide into first to beat the throw. Kepler was slow to get up before eventually walking back to the dugout and exiting the game.

Manny Margot replaced Kepler in right field to start the second inning.

This is a developing story. It will be updated as more information becomes available.
