Left-handed pitcher Parker Messick made his major league debut with the Cleveland Guardians in 2025 and had a 2.63 ERA in seven starts, and he has continued that pace early in the 2026 season. Messick has 89 strikeouts in 86.2 innings pitched in the major leagues, and his success is not a surprise for those who watched him pitch in college at Florida State. He was a two-time All-American with the Seminoles who struck out a ton of opponents. He is third all-time at FSU, averaging 12.98 strikeouts per nine innings pitched, and has the best strikeout to walk ratio in Florida State history at 6.72 strikeouts per walk. Look back at the Seminoles career of Parker Messick as he becomes a dominant starter for the Cleveland Guardians.
