Yankees' Improbable Comeback Frazzles Famous Boston Bozo

What’s better than watching the Yankees have a furious comeback late in the game and Aaron Judge celebrating a walk-off?

Seeing Boston’s biggest bozo lose his mind on X for betting against them.

“I will not sleep tonight,” read one of the posts. A disastrous night for the pizza-reviewing politically-minded sports blog company owner.

“I bet the Mariners tonight. Winning 5-0 and throwing a no hitter until the bottom of 8th. Now heading to extras. This league will kill you.” When you put it like that, it may just be the baddest beat of the whole baseball season.

The rivalry with Boston has died down for some time, but the constant updates on the mental instability of one of their most annoying residents just stirs up some old, warm feelings.

Maybe a good night’s sleep helped detox?

“I can’t believe the Mariners blew that game last night.” Dang. Still going through it

The bet already looks terrible, but how the comeback came to fruition just rubs salt in the wounds.

Giancarlo Stanton hit the first pinch-hit home run of his entire career, almost 1,700 games in. Mariners closer Andrés Muñoz was tipping his pitches in the ninth inning, and the difference in at-bats by Yankees hitters was noticeable.

Even Platinum Glove winner Cal Raleigh missed tagging Anthony Volpe on Aaron Judge’s sac fly. It was a great slide by Volpe, and he needed it because the throw beat him.

Raleigh reached out down the third base line, holding his glove up for Volpe’s chest to crash into. If he had gone straight towards the plate, his glove would meet Volpe’s hand before he scored. Coaches everywhere should be marking that play as exactly how to not tag a runner out.

First ever pinch-hit homer, tipping pitches, and one of the best defenders in baseball making a mistake with a basic fundamental. All of that to just barely lose money in the end.

That was a fun win.
