The New York Yankees have found no shortage of success against the Kansas City Royals in recent years. In fact, the ball club has won 11 consecutive games against the Royals since 2024 including the postseason, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

The Yankees are in a good position against the Royals. With that being said, anything can end up happening. Nevertheless, New York will surely enter the series with no shortage of confidence.

Overall, the Yankees have performed well this season. As for the Royals, it has been a different story. Bobby Witt Jr. is still playing well, but the team has struggled for the most part.

New York currently holds a 31-22 overall record. The Yankees are in second place in the American League East standings, where they trail the Tampa Bay Rays by 4.5 games.

Kansas City is 22-31 heading into the series against the Yankees. The Royals are in fourth place in the American League Central standings, as they trail the Cleveland Guardians by nine games for first place in the division.

Neither ball club has played especially well over the past couple of weeks. The Royals are 3-7 over their past 10 games, while the Yankees are 4-6 during that span.

While New York is the better overall team, Kansas City does have home field advantage. Perhaps the Royals will find a way to pull off the upset in Kansas City.

First pitch for the Yankees and Royals contest on Monday afternoon is scheduled for 3:40 PM EST as New York looks to continue performing well against Kansas City.
