Before Alex Rodriguez ever picked up the microphone at Fox Sports, he spent over 20 years making history with a bat.
Selected first overall by the Seattle Mariners in the 1993 MLB Draft, Rodriguez played 22 seasons across three franchises, finishing with a .295 career batting average, 696 home runs and 2,086 RBI. He earned three American League MVP awards, 14 All-Star selections, 10 Silver Slugger awards and two Gold Glove awards.
He remains the only player in MLB history to reach 600 home runs, 2,000 RBI, 2,000 runs scored, 3,000 hits and 300 stolen bases.
The pinnacle of his career came in 2009, when he helped the New York Yankees win their 27th World Series championship. After a couple of guest appearances on Fox Sports, Rodriguez transitioned to a full-time role in 2017 as a studio analyst for MLB on Fox and Fox Sports 1.
Now, nearly a decade removed from his final MLB game, Rodriguez is adding more trophies to his collection.
Rodriguez shared an Instagram post on Wednesday celebrating MLB on Fox's performance at the 47th Annual Sports Emmy Awards, held on May 26 in New York City.
"So proud of the entire team at @mlbonfox and the larger FS1 family," Rodriguez wrote. "Our game production made it a historic clean sweep."
Fox's coverage of the 2025 World Series between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Los Angeles Dodgers won for Outstanding Live Sports Special: Championship Event, Fox MLB: The American League Playoffs earned Outstanding Sports Playoff Coverage and Fox MLB: The 95th All-Star Game won for Outstanding Live Sports Special: Non-Championship Event.
Rodriguez took home individual hardware, winning Outstanding Sports Personality: Studio Analyst.
"These awards are truly a testament to the hard work and dedication from every single member of the cast and crew," Rodriguez wrote. "Proud to work with such amazing people."
