Ten more fighters will duke it out for a UFC contract on Dana White’s Contender Series this week, but we’ve picked out five who are poised to impress.

Four fighters won contracts on last week’s episode of Dana White’s Contender Series, including three who landed first-round knockouts to impress the UFC CEO at the UFC APEX.

Tommy McMillen wowed Dana White in his bloody war with David Mgoyan, leaving it all in the ring as he signed a UFC deal after the fight, following a trip to the hospital.

While the injuries suffered weren’t preferable, more fighters will be hoping to mimic McMillen’s success on the fifth episode of season nine of Dana White’s Contender Series.

5. Steven Asplund

American fighter Steven Asplund is expected to use his massive size to great effect when he fights for a UFC deal on the ninth season of Dana White’s Contender Series.

The six-foot-five Heavyweight towers over most of the fighters, including his opponent, Anthony Guarascio, on the fifth episode of the show.

Asplund’s incredible power and resiliency have earned him the nickname “Concrete”, which will worry Guarascio as he prepares for the fight.

The size and weight difference should be a difference maker in the bout, as Asplund is expected to impress as a future Heavyweight star in the UFC.

4. Felipe Franco

An undefeated 24-year-old Light Heavyweight is one man who seems likely to walk out of this episode with a UFC contract.

Felipe Franco has had a year off to prepare for his fight with Freddy Vidal after having four fights cancelled, including two changes of opponents for the Dana White Contender Series.

From his debut in November 2022 to August 2024, Franco picked up seven wins in a row, with a combination of submission and knockout wins making him a dangerous man to step into the octagon with.

3. Samuel Sanches

To be given a nickname like “The Prodigy”, Samuel Sanches must have something special about him.

The 22-year-old has already amassed ten wins on his record as a Lightweight, as he continued to impress while fighting in his home country.

Sanches will face the undefeated Chasen Blair on Dana White’s Contender Series, but has the height and reach advantage to beat the American, who is four years his senior.

He will be confident in winning the contract and becoming one of the youngest men on the UFC roster.

2. Carol Foro

Brazilian fighter Carol Foro could become the first woman to earn a UFC contract this year, as she takes on Shanelle Dyer on the fifth episode of Dana White’s Contender Series.

Foro is the #2-ranked pound-for-pound women’s fighter in Central and South America and has the opportunity to take the US by storm in the UFC Apex on Tuesday.

She has a foundation in karate and kickboxing, which has set her up nicely for a string of knockout wins in the last few years to cement herself as a rising talent.

While Dyer will be a tough competitor, Foro has the ability to end the “Nightmare” and secure her UFC deal in style.

1. Cam Teague

One of the most impressive prospects on episode 5 of Dana White’s Contender Series this year is the American Lightweight fighter, Cam Teague.

He is nicknamed Chaos for a reason. When Teague steps into an octagon, you never know what is going to happen.

The 7-1 fighter has only gone the distance twice in his career, providing a threat via TKO or submission, making him one of the most dangerous men in the competition.

The only loss of his career, unfortunately, came on last year’s Contender Series, where he suffered a first-round TKO loss to Kevin Vallejos.

However, he has picked up three wins since then, and Teague looks set to take the competition by storm in week 5.
