Arman Tsarukyan has aimed a social media rant at lightweight champion Ilia Topuria.
The former featherweight king became the 155lb titleholder by knocking out Charles Oliveira at UFC 317 last month.
Since then, fans have been wondering who Ilia Topuria will defend his lightweight belt against first.
Justin Gaethje and Paddy Pimblett have been touted as potential opponents, but Arman Tsarukyan should be next in line as the #1 contender at 155lbs.
There’s been no official update on who Topuria will face when he returns to the Octagon later this year.
However, Tsarukyan seems to be concerned that he will be skipped over by the Spanish superstar.
On Friday, he took to X to let rip at Topuria in an X-rated rant about their potential matchup.
“Who wants to let Ilia know he’s not [Conor] McGregor,” Tsarukyan tweeted.
“And that he’s making all the champs look bad – champs fight the #1 contender….
“But this is the same guy who thinks he’s the ‘BMF’, how do you say ‘p—-‘ in Spanish?”
Tsarukyan’s angry rant appears to have been triggered by a recent comment from the pound-for-pound best fighter on the UFC roster.
Topuria shockingly claimed he’d rather vacate his title than fight Tsarukyan, telling the Nelk Boys: “They are gonna give him a fight before the title shot because there’s no way.
“I’m the world champion, I’m never gonna give him a chance to fight for the world title. I would be like, listen, if that’s the case, take my belt. I don’t do it.”
Tsarukyan initially responded by saying, “Imagine calling yourself a champion, but you’re already looking for a way out. You can vacate it, or I’ll take it. Either way, it’s mine.”
A week later, Tsarukyan has once again utilized social media to try to get Topuria to fight him next.
