Bella Mir will face Alex Apodaca in the headline bout of the Aug. 25 Dana White's Contender Series card, MMA Fighting reports.
The matchup marks the fifth professional fight for the 23-year-old Mir, daughter of former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir. She announced her DWCS booking in a July interview with the outlet and has not competed since a first-round submission victory over Stephanie Calderon at Fury FC more than a year ago.
After earning a decision in her professional debut, Mir has stopped every opponent since. Apodaca brings a three-fight winning streak into the biggest opportunity of her career, having spent her first three bouts with Colorado promotion Peak Fighting before earning a decision over Devon McDonald at Fury FC less than a month ago.
The card also features Carlos Petruzzella against Nick Galanti, Gary Balletto facing Sean Clancy Jr., Alexis Miranda taking on Ronald Humphrey, and Mario Piazzon meeting Guilherme Uriel. The event airs Aug. 25 on UFC Fight Pass.
