Conor McGregor is taking a liking to soccer and has just competed in an instant classic for his renowned Irish bar's team, Black Forge FC.
The Irishman sparked a viral moment last time out when he battered and bruised his opponents on the way to a 1-0 victory. While news on his future inside the octagon remains bleak, it seems 'The Notorious' has found a new hobby after returning to the soccer field this past weekend.
Conor McGregor managed to convert his aggressive style inside the cage onto the soccer pitch, to some backlash. McGregor has shown that he isn't afraid to dive into a challenge and could have caused serious damage with some of the reckless tackles he was committing.
That hasn't stopped him from returning to the field alongside his Black Forge FC teammates to punish the opposing team once again.
Despite falling to a 2-goal deficit and being handed two red cards, Conor McGregor's team sensationally rallied back to complete an instant-classic affair. A gutsy performance saw a nine-man BFFC come away with a 3-2 victory and the celebrations got underway.
Following the win, McGregor invited the entire team back to the Black Forge Inn, offering them free drinks for the entire night.
"What a f***ing game!" McGregor said after his team's win. "Black Forge FC come from behind 2-0 to win 3-2, while 2 men down!"
"OMG the gaf is hopping tonight. Free bar for the whole squad. All day, all night."
Whether it's Conor McGregor's ability with the ball at his feet or just his presence on the pitch, to come back from two goals down while down to nine-men is an incredible feat.
McGregor continues to flourish on the soccer field but all eyes are firmly placed on his questionable return to the UFC.
