Dalton Rosta slams ‘hypocrite’ Fabian Edwards over Dakota Ditcheva jabs ahead of PFL grudge fight

“So I’m not trying to make things up, I just had to say what everyone else was thinking. If it wasn’t true, he’d be like ‘you know what, whatever, sound’. But he knows it’s true and in this fighting game you get a chance to go out there and prove who is the best.

“Forget all the trash talk, we now have a chance to go out and put hands on each other and I actually can’t wait for it.”

Rosta has not risen to the comments much but has responded in his own inimitable way. And speaking to Bloody Elbow at media day, he noted that Fabian and his brother Leon Edwards did not appreciate when their personal lives were brought up in previous fight build-ups.

Back when he was UFC champion, Leon defended his title against Colby Covington, who invoked the memory of their late father who passed away in their youth. Now, Rosta says, they are doing similar by dragging his girlfriend into pre-fight trash talk.

Rosta explained: “That’s crazy coming from someone like him because I don’t know if you all remember when Leon and Fabian were crying on stage and backstage whenever Colby brought up like a family member or someone outside of who was fighting.

“They were like ‘why you gotta make this personal?’ They damn near teared up and cried. Now look at this guy bringing in other people. His head is not in the right space but I’m not going to let that s— get to me, he’s going to have to pay the price in the cage either way.

“It’s just hypocritical and it’s funny… The judges get paid to do their job and they made the right call [to award him the decision against Jeffery], there was one judge that night who did not make the right call.

“If he’s saying Jeffery won that fight he’s saying it for one of two reasons. He’s either blind, deaf, dumb and ugly, or he just really wanted to fight Aaron Jeffery because that’s the easier fight and he’s scared of me.”
