Justin Gaethje is making his move to sell his White House card fight against Ilia Topuria. Gaethje started trash-talking Topuria online, making comments about his ex-partner and saying she did the right thing by leaving ‘El Matador’. Talking about that, UFC veteran Daniel Cormier said that this could change the direction of the fight.

Cormier believes the rivalry between ‘El Matador’ and Gaethje has crossed a line ahead of their White House showdown. The 47-year-old also believed things became personal when the interim lightweight champion referenced Topuria’s divorce during the buildup. During his recent video, ‘DC’ said:

“Justin is a competitor and a dog. He doesn’t like hearing that someone thinks they’re just going to walk through him. Ilia won’t like Justin referencing his divorce because now it’s personal.”

The White House fight between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje is generating hype now, as both fighters trade words online, further heating up ahead of their clash. The lightweight champion looked very confident in his interviews. During his recent interview with Diario AS, the 29-year-old said:

“Justin has the same speech as my previous rivals, saying he’s going to teach me a lesson in humility and put me in my place because I’m super arrogant. But we’re going to bring him some calm anesthesia.”

After the American said Topuria was human and promised to humble him, the lightweight champion fired back with a chilling response. ‘El Matador’ said he’s heard the same talk from previous opponents and suggested he’s preparing a knockout rather than a lesson.
