Dustin Poirier now owns two victories over Conor McGregor.
Poirier hit McGregor with a combination at the end of the first round of Saturday's UFC 264 main event, and the Irishman suffered a gruesome leg injury.
With McGregor hurt, referee Herb Dean called the match, and a stretcher was brought out to transport the 32-year-old to the hospital.

UFC president Dana White said the injury to McGregor was to his lower tibia and that he would have surgery Sunday morning, according to ESPN's Marc Raimondi. He added that the two stars would likely meet again in a fourth match when McGregor is healthy.
"When Conor is healed and ready to go, we'll do the rematch, I guess," White said. "Poirier will do his thing until Conor is ready."
Poirier also said he and McGregor would fight again "whether it's in the Octagon or on the sidewalk."
Poirier defeated McGregor at UFC 257 in January via second-round TKO. At UFC 178 in 2014, McGregor knocked out the 32-year-old in less than two minutes.
Poirier has won three straight and has just one loss since 2016, a defeat against Khabib Nurmagomedov. McGregor, meanwhile, has just one win since 2018, a victory over Donald Cerrone at UFC 246 in Jan. 2020.
