Conor McGregor has always found a way to stay in the spotlight, but his confirmed UFC return during the International Fight Week, after five years, has put him back at the centre of attention.
This time, the focus is feeding straight into business. McGregor is using the moment to promote MAC Energy, his latest move in the drinks market.
One promotional appearance drew particular attention, not just for the product, but for the company he kept.
McGregor filmed what appeared to be a MAC Energy campaign with Robert J. O’Neill, the former Navy SEAL who claims he shot Osama Bin Laden during Operation Neptune Spear in May 2011.
That claim has never been officially verified, but it is still central to O’Neill’s public profile after his time with SEAL Team Six.
The video is not on MAC Energy’s official accounts, but fan reposts showed O’Neill handing the Irishman a glove he said was used during the mission.

The former SEAL told McGregor: “I wanted you to have that as a gift. I wanted to give it to you as a token of our friendship.”
McGregor responded: “These is the glove that was used on the mission to take down Osama Bin Laden?” while O’Neill replied: “Yeah.”
This was not their first public interaction, as the UFC star has previously interviewed the 50-year-old American at the Black Forge Inn as part of his 1 of 1 series.
