Former UFC Superstar’s Instagram Post Sparks Return Rumors

The longer you’re away from the fight game, the more that itch comes back. It creeps up on legends, the ones who walked away thinking they were done. Some fighters call it "one last run," others just want a taste of the rush again. And let’s be honest—sometimes it’s about proving you still got it, sometimes it’s just an expensive way to avoid a midlife crisis. Either way, we’ve seen legends lace up the gloves again after years on the sidelines—sometimes for glory, sometimes for closure, and sometimes because their golf game just ain’t cutting it.

A week ago, the MMA world started buzzing. A certain former UFC megastar, last seen in the Octagon on December 30, 2016, was making waves again. And not just with rumors—this time, there was footage. Ronda Rousey posted a training clip that had fans dissecting every frame, looking for clues. The former UFC women's bantamweight champion and one of the biggest crossover stars in combat sports history was back in the gym, and she wasn’t alone.

By her side? Cat Zingano—a name longtime fans will remember well. A former top contender and one of the toughest women to ever step foot in the Octagon, Zingano had once been on the receiving end of Rousey’s fastest title defense. Now, nearly a decade later, she was back helping her old foe sharpen her tools.

Rousey captioned the post:
"Only @cynthiavancejp could shoot my struggling through postpartum ass and make it look this good. Thank you @alphacatzingano for stopping by and helping me relearn how to move—I forgot how fun it could be."

Is this just a training session, or is Rousey really thinking about one more fight? The fight world is watching.  One thing we haven’t heard? Dana White’s take on it. The UFC boss is usually quick to shut down comeback rumors—or fan the flames. But so far? Silence.
