Jake Paul’s first move into MMA just got even more interesting with the announcement of a fourth fight added to the card.
Ronda Rousey’s return to fighting, taking on Gina Carano, will headline the Netflix event scheduled for May 16. It’s a comeback many fans have been waiting for, and the rest of the card is starting to take shape around it.
Francis Ngannou is set to co-headline against Philipe Lins, following a bout between Nate Diaz and Mike Perry. The three-fight lineup comes under Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions’ debut MMA show.
There are reports that Jason Jackson will appear on the undercard of Ronda Rousey’s fight against Gina Carano.
MMA reporter Alex Behunin has said the former Bellator welterweight champion will take on Lorenz Larkin at MVP MMA 1.
“Here’s a fun one: Lorenz Larkin vs. Jason Jackson has been added to MVP MMA 1 on May 16th, per sources,” he posted on Tuesday.
So far, neither fighter nor Jake Paul’s promotion has confirmed the matchup.
MMA fans have been calling for a new player to challenge the UFC’s dominance, and they seem excited about the direction MVP is heading.
The announcement of Jason Jackson vs Lorenz Larkin added to that buzz, with many praising the matchup.
One fan commented, “Banger tbh,” while another added: “That’s a really fun one, fair play.”
“That is a really well-booked undercard bout,” wrote another fan.
Plenty of people seem happy with how Most Valuable Promotions has put together the card. One said: “Can’t stand Jake Paul, but I applaud MVP, they’re doing awesome. UFC continues to fail the fans. Good for MVP.”
