Josh Hokit took aim at Alex Pereira's walkout presentation, calling the former two-division champion "auraless" and criticizing his pre-fight ritual.

The heavyweight contender, who faces Ciryl Gane for the title at UFC 334 on Nov. 14 at Madison Square Garden, went after Pereira during an appearance on the Believe You Me podcast with Michael Bisping and Paul Felder. Hokit, according to BJ Penn, referred to Pereira as "the auraless sorceress" and claimed the Brazilian has "had the whole world chanting 'Chama,' putting curses on the whole world."

Hokit Targets Pereira's Indigenous Presentation

Hokit specifically attacked Pereira's face paint and bow-and-arrow gesture, saying the former champion "paints his face in women's mascara" before making shooting motions during his cage entrance. The comments followed earlier tensions at the UFC Freedom 250 press conference, where security escorted Hokit off stage after he directed remarks at both Pereira and Ilia Topuria, who had defended Pereira in the moment.

The matchup between the two could materialize if both continue winning at heavyweight. Hokit earned his title shot with a Fight of the Night performance against Curtis Blaydes and a second-round stoppage of Derrick Lewis. Pereira, who recently moved up to heavyweight after holding belts at middleweight and light heavyweight, has teased an announcement about his next fight but has not confirmed an opponent or date.

UFC 334 goes down Nov. 14 in New York City, with Hokit attempting to claim his first world title in his fifth promotional appearance.
