Islam Makhachev floors ‘unprepared’ sparring partner with nasty body shot: ‘Now he’s suffering’

Islam Makhachev made one of his teammates pay for turning up to training ‘unprepared’ .

The former lightweight champion is currently preparing to make his UFC welterweight debut.

According to Khabib Nurmagomedov, he’ll fight Jack Della Maddelena for 170lb gold in November.

There’s been no official announcement, but Islam Makhachev‘s fight camp already appears to be in full swing.

Earlier this month, Islam Makhachev choked a PFL star unconscious in a viral training video.

10 days later, the 33-year-old has shared footage showing him flooring a sparring partner.

Makhachev connected with a body kick that made his teammate take a backward step.

The pound-for-pound superstar followed up with a straight shot to the stomach that closed the show.

A clip of the knockdown was shared on Makhachev’s Instagram story with a mocking caption.

“The man came to the training camp unprepared and is now suffering,” Makhachev wrote.

Islam Makhchev reacts to UFC 319

Khamzat Chimaev beat Dricus du Plessis in a one-sided UFC 319 main event on Saturday night.

Post-fight, the new UFC middleweight champion was inundated with messages from his fellow fighters.

Makhachev reacted to Chimaev’s title win with a four-word post on social media.

“Congratulations, it was sure,” he wrote.

Makhachev also sent a message to Aaron Pico after his devastating KO defeat to Lerone Murphy in the UFC 319 co-headliner.

“Head up champ,” the Russian commented when Pico broke his silence on social media.
