Jon Jones desperately wants to fight on the UFC White House card.
However, Dana White has publicly claimed that that’s very unlikely.
Regardless, the MMA community is excited for the idea of his return, with Brendan Schaub pitching three opponents for Jones.
And one former world title challenger believes the UFC President’s mind could be swayed if ‘Bones’ does one thing.
Chael Sonnen thinks Jon Jones is still in the running to compete on the UFC White House card.
The retired fighter believes that a big victory for the two-weight world champion could change everything.
In a video uploaded to his YouTube channel, Sonnen said, “Nothing would trump Jon getting in there and fighting. ‘I want on the White House card, so I’m willing to fight in Vancouver in February, I’ll work my way up, I’ll prove that I’m the number one contender. I want to show you’.”
Fans would love to see Jones finally step up to the plate and face Tom Aspinall.
However, ‘The American Gangster’ doesn’t think the Englishman presents the toughest contest for his countryman.
Interestingly, Sonnen said a surprise fighter is Jones’ hardest matchup.
